She was born in Santa Monica, California on 26 November 1986. She is the daughter of father Vincenzo Barba, and mother Valerie Barba. At the age of six, her family and moved to Point Pleasant New Jersey. The school she attended was Red Bank Catholic High School, New Jersey. She then attended Catholic University, where she received a degree in architecture. When she began playing the violin, it was at age 4 and she was known as the Violin Girl. She was a star performer and earned the creation of her name. She taught violin lessons to children in the neighbourhood. She also sang Free since 1976, when she took her audition for American Idol's sixth season when she was 19 years old. The song was not a success and she did not make it past 16th to American Idol. The singer has performed on several tracks like 2009's "The Christmas Song" and the the 2010's Out for Blood. She also appeared in some television shows including Jimmy Kimmel Live! The actress also started acting in television shows after she was eliminated from the show after she made it to the top 16. In 2012 she appeared on Fear Factor as contestant. She also appeared in tiny roles in a couple of movies. The singer was discovered to be in possession of more than 400 grams Fentanyl with the intent of distribution.
